Garage floor concrete in Beverly Hills CA - a floor that holds up under your cars
Cracked, dusty or sinking garage floor? We'll tell you whether it needs a repair or a new pour, then do it right.

Does your garage floor need fixing or a new pour?
Garage floor concrete work in Beverly Hills means either repairing the slab you have or breaking it out and pouring a new one, then curing it, the time we keep the fresh surface protected so it gets hard and dense enough to take tires and clean up easily.
Most garage floors I'm called out to see have cracks, a dusty or flaking top, a low spot where water sits after you wash the car, or a corner that's dropped. What moves the price is whether we're repairing or replacing, how big the garage is, how much old concrete has to come out, how much work the base needs and whether you want a coating or finish on top. The schedule turns on those same things and on the permit side, and once I've seen the floor, the written estimate lays out your options and what each one includes.
Why Beverly Hills owners call us for garage floors
You'll talk to me, you'll see what goes under the surface before we pour, and you'll know why each step is there, so the choice you make is really yours.

I look at your garage and write the estimate, then run the job on site while our crew does the work.

Garage floor concrete work we do
What fits your garage depends on the shape the concrete is in now and what you want the floor to do, so I start by working out whether it needs a repair or a new pour.
What happens after you call about a garage floor?
We plan a garage floor around how you use the space, what's parked in it and whether a coating comes later, so the work fits your house.
You get in touch
Call (424) 550-5006 or send the form with a few details about the floor, and we get back to you to set up a visit.
I look at the floor
I come out, check the cracks, the surface and where the water goes, and answer whatever questions you have about the job.
Your written estimate
I send you a written estimate that lays out your options, repair or new pour where both make sense, and what each one includes.
You say yes, we pour
We handle the permit side and prep, pour during the city's weekday hours of 8 am to 6 pm, and show you how to care for the floor.

How do I know if my cracked garage floor can be repaired?
As long as the concrete isn't crumbling, cracks and gaps in a garage floor can usually be repaired, so a cracked floor doesn't automatically mean a new floor. When the concrete itself is breaking down, patching only buys time, and that's when I'd talk with you about a new pour.
How much does a new garage floor cost in the Los Angeles area?
A garage floor slab in the Los Angeles area usually costs about $8 to $15 per square foot. That's the going rate for a new slab around here, not our quote, and a repair is priced differently. Your own figure comes in the written estimate after I've seen the floor.
What is the best way to keep a new garage floor from cracking?
Getting the timing of finishing and curing right is one of the biggest things, because poor timing can lead to cracking, a dusty top, scaling, high or low spots and water that won't drain. Control joints cut on time matter too, so the slab cracks along the lines we chose. If you're comparing crews, ask each one how they plan and time those steps.
How thick should a garage floor slab be for cars?
Engineers writing in a building trade article give 5 inches as the minimum for most slabs that carry light vehicle traffic, like the cars in a home garage. Slabs for heavier equipment used again and again need to be thicker, so tell me if a truck, a car lift or heavy tools will live in there.
Does wire mesh make a garage floor stronger?
Not by much, because wire mesh mainly holds the edges of a crack together after the slab cracks and adds little to what the floor can carry. If heavier loads are coming, the better thing to ask about is a thicker slab, and I'll go over that with you when I'm out there.
Can I put epoxy on a new garage floor as soon as it looks dry?
No, the concrete's moisture and surface texture need to be checked before an epoxy or polyaspartic coating goes on, even when a young floor looks dry. If you want a coated floor, plan for time between the pour and the coating, and I'll tell you plainly where the floor stands before anything goes on it.
Garage floor concrete rules and jobs in Beverly Hills
The City of Beverly Hills requires building permits for structural alterations, improvements inside and out, general repairs, new construction and demolition, but its list doesn't name garage floors on their own, so we check with the city's Building and Safety office about what your address needs and take care of the permit paperwork when it's needed. The city also requires a licensed contractor on any project valued at $1,000 or more, and California requires a license on smaller jobs too when the work needs any kind of permit or the person doing it hires help. If you were thinking of doing it yourself, Beverly Hills limits owner-builder projects to owner-occupied single-family homes and condos, and to interior work only. When something has to come from you, like drawings, we tell you early.
Around here we see plenty of older garages with original slabs that have cracked, settled at the door or gone dusty, and garages turned into gyms or workshops that need a floor that's easier to keep clean. We're based in Beverly Hills and do the same garage floor work on jobs in West Hollywood and Culver City, along with many other cities nearby, so if yours isn't on our list, ask us anyway.
